After breakfast, Visit some of the most magnificent artworks in Istanbul. Start your tour by visiting the impressive Topkapi Palace, one of the greatest palaces of the Ottoman period, which has a superb position overlooking the Bosphorus. Explore the magnificent Hagia Sophia Basilica. Later discover the wonders of the Blue Mosque, famous for its six minarets and beautiful blue Iznik tiles. Tour the Byzantine Hippodrome, where chariot racing and other sporting events were held.
Lunch at the local restaurant. After lunch you will visit the GRAND BAZAAR, the largest and oldest covered Bazaar in Turkey with more than 4,000 shops. A variety of handicrafts, carpets, rare jewels and souvenirs all sold in small shops next to each other. The merchants are selling everything from antiques, home wares, books, copper ware, ceramics, gold and souvenirs. Venture into the hidden courtyards or hans, lookout for marble fountains and ornate kiosks. The best way to immerse you in a short time is to visit the peaceful Prince‟ Islands. Enjoy a cruise accompanied by the Seagulls to “Buyukada”, the largest island among the Prince‟ Islands. During the cruise, view the charming sights along the way and the memorable view of the old Istanbul. Prince‟ s Islands are summer places; away from the rush of the city they offer a different experience with their unique climate, vegetation and vehicle free roads. Only horse-carriages named Phaeton are allowed on Prince‟s Islands. Take a ride around the Island with the Phaeton and enjoy the sights of the island and its elegant mansions.
Breakfast at the hotel, your day is free for your own activities. Stroll around in the street of Istanbul or taste some famous turkish cuisine or take a taxi to Eyup and see the Eyup Sultan Mosque then take the cable up the steephill to Pierre Loti Tepesi to enjoy the view from high and deep in the Golden Horn.
In the evening, we recommend you visit Grand bazar. In this labyrinth of streets and passages are more then 4,000 shops with each trade having its own area: the goldsmiths’ street, the carpet sellers, Turkish arts and crafts, such as hand painted ceramic plates, hand-honed copperware, brassware and trays, water ewers, onyx-ware and meerschaum pipes.
